Why Do I Need A Security System?

CRIME HAPPENS…

They say that your home is your castle. Everything important in your life is there for the taking – your papers, family heirlooms and the people you cherish most in this world.

Do you really want to risk a home invasion with no adequate security in place?

Then why are you risking fate by going one more day without a security system in place?

While all hope we’ll never need it, like insurance the truth is we’ve got to take matters into our own hand. Who else cares more about your family’s well-being than you? It’s easy to use… even if you have pets or small children running around.

Sterling Security Systems Life Safety Specialists are licensed with the State of Connecticut and led by a real pro in this field – Joe Gurga.

CRIME HAPPENS. PROTECT YOURSELF.

It’s not wise to pay too much…

It is Unwise to Pay Too Much, but it is also unwise to pay too little.

When you pay too much you lose a little money, that’s all.

When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything. Because the thing you bought is incapable of doing the thing you bought it to do.

The common law of business balance prohibits paying little and getting a lot… it can’t be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it’s well to add something for the risk you run. And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better.

We suggest…

When selecting a security professional, that you call their offices late at night or very early in the morning, and see how your call is handled. Would you be comfortable with this response if you had an emergency and needed immediate assistance?

Call us anytime, day or night – you will always speak with a live dispatcher or our office staff. We also offer emergency on-site service 24 hours a day.

Did you know that many individuals currently installing security and life safety systems are doing so illegally – without a state mandated license? It is sad, but true. We are proud that all of our technicians and life safety specialists are licensed to perform the work they are contracted to do.

An appropriate license would be an “L5, L6, E1, C5, E2 or C6”. Ask to see the license of the individual who will be installing your system; you may be surprised at the results!

In addition, many installation technicians are subcontractors for the company that sold you a system. Our technicians work only for us, and therefore have a vested commitment to you as our customer. It also means they are available full time to answer questions or service your systems. We, along with a number of other companies in the state, are authorized Bosch & DMP dealers. This means our technicians are trained and certified in the installation and maintenance of the products we sell.

With certain national companies, if you are ever unhappy with their services, NO ONE ELSE CAN SERVICE, MONITOR OR MAINTAIN THE EQUIPMENT THEY INSTALL. They have it manufactured this way; it’s called a “proprietary” system.

If you are ever dissatisfied with Sterling Security, there are a number of other professional alarm companies in the state who can utilize the equipment you have purchased from us. We use quality equipment and provide outstanding monitoring and technical service so that we don’t need to bind you to our company this way.

When interviewing security companies, it is important to know whether you will own the equipment, or if it is a leased system. Even if the system is leased, you may be responsible for maintenance fees for the system.

Find out what the minimum service charge is both during normal business hours and after hours / weekends. Ask them to put it in writing. We provide one full year warranty on all equipment and labor when you purchase an intrusion or fire detection system from Sterling Security.
